I made these cookies last night. Texture was great! Only problem was that they were too sweet. Trying to figure out how to cut down on sweetness without losing texture! Otherwise, great!

Hi Julie,

It might be that the peanut butter you used had more sugar - try using an organic brand that doesn't taste very sweet before you start. You can also try making them with a tablespoon or 2 less sugar and it shouldn't make too much of a difference in the texture.

Happy Baking!

ty cooks for the suggestion! I used Aldi's brand peanut butter, but I will keep in mind about less sugar. Thanks for answering me!

I listened to the above comments and added oats and some Hershey's chocolate syrup. They're kind of like no-bake cookies, only less mess and less trouble!

Found this recipe about an hour ago and have already made a batch of cookies. Super easy! I was able to whip up a batch in less than 5 minutes. Cookies are good, but very sweet. I had to let them sit for a bit outside the oven to harden. Would love to find a way to make this less sweet but otherwise, a great recipe.

I googled for "easy peanut butter cookie recipe" to find this, and I love it!
I used a couple tablespoons less than the cup of sugar called for, and added two tablespoons of cocoa powder. I also sprinkled a little turbinado sugar on top. Yum!
The best part is that it takes less than five minutes to mix these up!

Uhm, my roommate and I were bored and since were like in college and stuff, we didn't know how to use the oven or bake or anything and they came out just fine. Sounds like this is whats for dinner tomorrow.

We've also made these since the early sixties. In our family, we also added 1 tbsp. of flour.
Brandon: enjoy your protein filled dinner!
My take: If someone finds these too sweet, it's probably not the p-b choice, it's probably just personal preference.
