ITALIAN BISCOTTI 
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/4 lb. butter or Crisco
1 tsp. anise flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla

Add to this all in one bowl.

4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Mix all together. Butter will be wet and thick. Spread evenly on a greased cookie sheet (lightly flour cookie sheet). Frost when cake is cool. Make a thin frosting with confectioners' sugar and water to make then pour over cake. Sprinkle with colored candies. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
