Combine soda, flour, blend and divide into three parts. Add one part of first mixture, to second part. Add 1 teaspoon anise flavor. Add candied fruit and pine nuts as desired. Form into shapes. Put on lightly greased and floured cookie sheet and bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes. Put together another mixture of step I and II. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla, candied fruit and pine nuts. Form into O shapes, and bake. In the third batch, follow the previous steps: Add 1 teaspoon almond extract, candied fruit and pine nuts, shape into crescents and bake. It helps the molding procedure if the mixtures are slightly chilled, more flour may have to be added too. I use 1 pound of pine nuts, and 2 packages of candied fruit. |
