TAMALE PIE 
1 lg. onion, diced
1 tbsp. shortening
1 lb. ground or chopped meat
2 c. cooked tomtoes
1 green pepper, sliced
1 doz. sliced ripe olives
1 can dry pack corn
Chili powder
Worcestershire sauce
2 c. yellow cornmeal
6 c. water - salted
Salt and pepper

Saute onion in the shortening in a skillet. Add meat and cook until brown. Stir in tomatoes, seasoned to taste, green pepper, olives and corn. Season with chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.

In another pot, stir in yellow cornmeal into water. Stir the cornmeal in a little at a time to prevent lumping. Line a baking dish with the mush, fill with the meat mixture and top with mush.

Bake in moderate oven for 25 minutes. Catsup may be mixed in with the meat for added seasoning, if desired.
