1 1/2 c. water 1/3 c. sugar 1 c. ground beef 1 c. raisins 1 tbsp. molasses Combine all above and boil until water is reduced to 1 cup. Cool to lukewarm. 1/2 c. warm water 1 c. milk 3 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening 1/2 c. nuts 3 c. graham flour 2 c. all-purpose flour Mix all ingredients and knead. Let stand until double in bulk. Punch down. Let rest 20 minutes. Shape into 2 loaves. Let rest until doubled, about 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. |
