My grandmother made these cookies 60 years ago, and always with lots of coconut. Pure heaven.

I lost this recipe and had a hard time finding the right site to go to. My kids loved them when they were little and now I fix them for the big kids and my grand children. They also love them. Never used coconut. How much do you put in and do you delete the oats to lesser amount? Would like to try this. Anyway thank you for this site. I will not lose it now.

Very good recipe. I made them adding the peanut butter and vanilla last with the oats. A few key things are the 1 min ok nut boil. Do not overcook the chocolate. And another thing I didn't see mentioned is set time. You cant really pick them up until they are completely cooled. It took me around 3 hours on a flat metal tray on the bottom shelf. I lightly set another piece of wax paper over the top while they set to prevent anything from falling into them. And I also kept mine in the fridge the whole time they lasted. As far as quick method. Clear a spot in the freezer and place in freezer about an hour. My no bakes were tablespoon heaping size and imperfect shape. Just a few thoughts on them from my personal aspect.

These cookies are really yummy! It's hard to believe they're no bake, because they taste like a delicious peanut butter cookie. I added some chocolate chips just because I love chocolate so much. I would recommend adding the extra chocolate for an even more decadent treat.

I used one cup sugar and one cup brown sugar. Added a little different flavor to it..
