CZECKOSLAVAKIAN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
2 egg yolks
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. strawberry jam (I usually use a sm. jar)

Set oven at 325 degrees. Grease an 8" square pan. In mixing bowl cream butter until soft, gradually add sugar, cream until light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and blend well. Gradually add flour and mix thoroughly. Fold in chopped nuts. Spoon 1/2 of the batter into cake pan and spread evenly. Top with the strawberry jam. Cover with remaining dough. Bake 1 hour or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and let cool. Cut into bars. I recommend a Pyrex dish as the dough browns better.
