PENNSYLVANIA APPLE CAKE 
1 c. salad oil
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. sorghum (may substitute molasses or omit)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped walnuts
4 c. sliced apples

Beat oil and eggs until frothy. Add sugars, sorghum and vanilla. Beat again. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Add apples and walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in a greased and floured tube pan.

ICING:

1 1/2 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 oz. cream cheese

Blend and pour over cake while cake is still warm.
