CHICKEN AND DROP DUMPLINGS 
3-4 meaty pieces of chicken
1/4 c. diced onions
Salt and pepper

DUMPLINGS:

1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
3/4 c. milk

1. Cook the meaty pieces of chicken about 1 hour or until well done. Cool and remove chicken from bone. Save broth from chicken.

2. Put chicken broth plus water to equal 4 cups liquid into large pot. Add 1/4 cup diced onions, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil.

3. Mix dumpling ingredients.

4. In a cup put 3 tablespoons flour and 1/2 cup water. Blend to make a paste. Pour into boiling broth. Stir.

5. Drop tablespoons of dough into hot boiling mixture (quickly). Turn heat down to medium, cover pot tightly and cook for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.

6. Carefully add chicken without breaking dumplings. 4-6 servings.
