APPLE DUMPLINGS 
2 c. flour
1/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. milk or water

Roll and cut into squares.

Peel apples, cut in half. Put sugar and cinnamon where you took core out. Wrap apples in dough.

SYRUP:

1 tsp. cinnamon
Lump butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water

Cook and cool. Pour over dumplings. Bake at 350 degrees.
