SPATZEL - NOODLES (GERMAN
-BAVARIA)
 
1 c. flour
1 egg
Warm to hot water
Bit of salt
Pot of boiling water
Optional additions:
A pinch of chives or
A bit of spring onions or
A bit of parsley and/or
Cheese (any kind)

To flour and egg add enough water to form a soft dough. Let dough drip from the wooden mixing spoon onto the smooth side of a coarse grater. Hold grater over a pot of boiling water. Running or scrape with wooden spoon so mixture goes through grater holes into boiling water. When "spatzel" rise, remove from fire and drain. Guteu appetit!
