FRESH APPLE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
2 lg. or 3 reg. apples, chopped
1 c. and 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Combine oil, sugar and eggs, beat 3 minutes. Sift flour with salt and soda, stir into egg mixture. Add vanilla, nuts and apples. Bake in a greased tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 20 minutes. Glaze.

GLAZE:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. milk

Cook all ingredients together for 2 minutes, stir constantly.
