2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. oil
1/2 c. orange juice
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. Washington state apples, chopped
1 c. coconut
1 c. pecans, chopped

Mix ingredients in order given. Bake in greased tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

TOPPING:

1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 stick butter
2/3 c. buttermilk

Mix together ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over cake right out of the oven. Leave cake in pan until topping soaks into cake.
