SUNFLOWER WAFFLES 
1 1/2 c. Sunflower self-rising flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 1/4 c. milk
4 tbsp. melted shortening or salad oil

Stir sugar into the flour. Add milk and melted shortening or oil to beaten egg yolks. Pour into flour and sugar mixture and stir just enough to moisten flour. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in hot waffle iron, 4 to 5 minutes.
