FRUIT CASSEROLE (HOT) | |
1 (16 oz.) can or larger pineapple rings 1 can apricots rings, halves 1 can pear halves 1 can peach halves 1 jar apple rings, spiced, (above layer) 1 jar maraschino cherries 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. sherry or pineapple and spiced apple juice In double boiler or heavy stew pan, heat the butter, sugar, flour and juice. Cook until thick as cream. Pour over fruit and refrigerate overnight or longer, if you desire. Put in oven. Let it get good and hot. Let come to a bubbly stage. This is a good dish to serve with any meat. |
