COUNTRY CORN BREAD 
2 tbsp. flour
5 tbsp. cornmeal
1/2 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. shortening
Dash of salt
Sprinkle of sugar

Blend flour, cornmeal, salt, and sugar. Mix in milk to desired consistency. Add egg. If mixture is stiff, add water until it is smooth. Heat shortening in a separate pan, pour into batter, leaving a bit of grease in the pan. Mix. Pour batter back into pan with grease. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes.
