BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts, optional

Mix butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Fold in dry ingredients. Grease an 8x8x2 inch pan with butter. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
