PECAN CRISPIES COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
6 tbsp. brown sugar
6 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
