“POPCORN GHOULIES” IS IN:

POPCORN GHOULIES 
3 qt. freshly popped corn
1 cup Karo light corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
8 flat wooden skewers

Place popcorn in a large greased pan. Place in 250°F oven.

In a heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine next 2 ingredients. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over medium heat.

Without stirring, cook until temperature reaches 290°F on candy thermometer, about 10 minutes.

Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Slowly pour over popcorn, stirring well. Cool just enough to handle.

With greased hands, quickly shape into balls. Insert skewers. Decorate, if desired.

Makes 8.
