PECAN STICKY BUNS | |
1/2 c. packed brown sugar 1/2 c. dark corn syrup 1/4 c. butter 3/4 c. pecan halves 1 frozen loaf bread, thawed 1/4 c. granulated sugar mixed with 1 tsp. cinnamon In heavy 10 inch skillet bring brown sugar, corn syrup and butter to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat simmer 1 minute. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Arrange pecan halves flat sides up in bottom of skillet. On floured surface roll dough into a 16 x 12 inch rectangle. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Roll up tightly, pinch seam to seal. Cut into 1 inch slices. Arrange 1/2 inch apart in skillet. Cover; let rise until doubled in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Carefully invert onto large serving dish. |
