1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. milk (butter)
1 chopped onion or green onions (or both)

Drop by teaspoons in hot oil (fry).
