CHEESE - POTATO BALLS | |
Instant mashed potato puffs 1 1/2 c. water 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. milk 16 (1/2 inch) cubes process American cheese 3 tbsp. butter, melted Heat oven to 400 degrees. Measure 1/2 cup of the potato puffs (dry); set aside. Heat water, 2 tablespoons butter, and the salt to boiling in large saucepan. Remove from heat; stir in milk and the remaining potato puffs (potatoes will be stiff). Form into 16 balls, shaping each heaping tablespoonful of potato around a cube of cheese. Stir reserved potato puffs into the melted butter. Roll balls in buttered potato puffs; place on greased baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle with paprika. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown. |
