CHERRY SQUARES 
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 1/2 cans cherry pie filling
1 tbsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs, one at a time, along with the extracts.

Combine dry ingredients in a small bowl and mix well. Add to sugar mixture and spread 3/4 of batter in greased 11x16 pan (9x13 makes thicker squares). Spread pie filling over batter and drop remaining 1/4 portion of batter by teaspoonful over the pie filling. Bake 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
