BROWN STOVE CAKE 
Cream together 1 cup butter and 2 cups sugar. Add 3 eggs and 1 block of unsweetened chocolate, melted. Add 3 1/4 cups flour, 1 cup buttermilk and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add 1 cup hot water with 2 teaspoons baking soda. Will make 3 layers.

Bake at 375 degrees for 3 layers for 20 minutes. Spread with Scotch Chocolate Icing.

SCOTCH CHOCOLATE ICING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. finely chopped pecans

In saucepan bring butter, cocoa and milk to a boil. Remove from stove and add powdered sugar and nuts.
