YUMMY OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIES 
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 c. quick oats
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sweet giant raisins
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth. In another bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients including the raisins. Add a little at a time to the sugar mixture until all is blended. Roll into small balls and put on a greased cookie sheet.

Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan. Makes 5 dozen.
