MARINATED CABBAGE SLAW 
1 med. cabbage, shredded
1 med. green pepper, thinly sliced
1 med. yellow onion, thinly sliced in rings
1 med. red onion, thinly sliced in rings
4 oz. jar sliced pimientos, drained

DRESSING:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. vegetable oil
3/4 c. vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed

Mix cabbage, pepper, and onions in a large bowl with a tight-fitting cover. Combine sugar, oil, vinegar, salt, and celery seed in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, simmer 2 minutes. Pour hot dressing over vegetables. Mix. Cover and chill at least 4 hours.
