3 c. milk in pan to boil
1/2 c. sugar
5 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar

Bring milk to a boil. Put sugar in heavy skillet and brown on medium heat until golden brown stirring a lot. Do not burn or pie will be bitter.

Mix eggs, sugar and flour together, then add browned sugar and milk. Pour into baked pie crust. Top with your favorite meringue recipe.
