PORK CHOPS, BACON AND SAUERKRAUT 
1/2 lb. bacon
2 lbs. sauerkraut
1 (15 oz.) jar applesauce
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. mustard
4 oz. dry white wine (1/2 c.)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
Pinch thyme
Pinch oregano
6 pork loin chops, each about 1 inch thick

Cut bacon into small pieces and fry until crisp. Drain on paper towel. Mix bacon bits with sauerkraut, applesauce, brown sugar, mustard, wine, pepper, paprika, thyme and oregano. Saute chops until light brown on both sides. Place atop mixture in casserole. Cover and bake in 300 degree preheated oven for 90 minutes. Serves 6.
