PORK CHOPS WITH APPLES &
SAUERKRAUT
 
4 pork chops, about 1" thick
Salt & pepper
2 tbsp. oil
2 apples, cored & diced
1 onion, coarsely chopped
1 can sauerkraut, drained
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1/2 c. dry white wine
8 apple slices

Salt and pepper chops and brown in oil both sides. Remove from skillet and saute apples and onion until tender. Stir in sauerkraut and caraway seeds, saute a few minutes. Add wine and transfer to baking pan. Arrange chops over sauerkraut. Top each with 2 apple slices. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for about 1 hour until chops are tender.
