BEEF-A-RONI CASSEROLE 
1 1/4 lb. ground beef
1/2 lg. onion, diced
1/2 green pepper, diced or 2 to 3 stalks celery, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sm. jar Ragu spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
1/2 c. water
2 c. cooked macaroni
Grated Cheddar cheese

Saute onion, green pepper (or celery) and garlic in a little oil. Add ground beef and brown. Drain off excess oil. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. Add spaghetti sauce and water. Cover and cook slowly for about 30 to 40 minutes. Meanwhile, cook macaroni and grate cheese.

Line the bottom of a large casserole with 1/2 of meat mixture, then 1/2 of macaroni and then a layer of cheese. Repeat layers. Bake, covered, in 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly.
