SHIPWRECK 
1/2 lb. sliced bacon
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. ketchup
1 (32 oz.) can pork and beans

In a skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain; crumble and set aside. Drain off drippings from skillet. Brown beef; drain. Add onion and cook until tender.

Combine ketchup and brown sugar. Stir in pork and beans and all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon. Transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish. Top with remaining bacon, and bake for 1 hour at 350°F.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.
