BOURBON BALLS | |
1/2 c. butter, softened 1 (16 oz.) pkg. powdered sugar, sifted 1/4 c. bourbon 1 c. chopped pecans 4 (1 oz.) squares semi-sweet chocolate 4 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate 4 dozen pecan halves Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well at medium speed of an electric mixer. Add bourbon; beat until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Shape into 1- inch balls; cover and chill 8 hours. Combine chocolate squares in top of a double boiler; bring water to a boil. Reduce heat to low, and cook until chocolate melts, stirring often. Dip bourbon balls in chocolate; place on waxed paper, and gently press a pecan half on top of each. Chill until chocolate hardens. Yield: 4 dozen |
