KENTUCKY BOURBON BALLS | |
1/4 c. 86 proof bourbon 1 tbsp. dark corn syrup 1 c. finely crushed vanilla wafers 1 c. finely chopped pecans 1 c. confectioners sugar 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa Stir together the bourbon and syrup; thoroughly stir in the remaining ingredients. Spoon 1/2 tablespoon of the mixture onto wax paper, generously covered with extra confectioners sugar. Roll each into a ball; roll in the sugar on the paper. Refrigerate in a tightly covered container at least overnight before serving. Just before offering, shake a little confectioners sugar over the balls. Store in refrigerator or freezer; they keep a long time. Makes about 3 dozen. |
