NO COOK MINT PATTIES | |
1/4 c. soft butter 3/8 c. light corn syrup 4 3/4 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tsp. peppermint extract Red and green food coloring Beat butter, corn syrup, peppermint extract together in a large bowl. Add sugar, first mixing with spoon, then working with your hands to make a dough. Divide dough into 3 pieces. Knead a few drops of red food coloring into one piece and a few drops of green coloring into another piece. Leave third piece white. Shape into balls about size of cherries. Put on wax paper and flatten with tines of fork. Let dry completely. Store in airtight container. Makes 6 dozen. |
