PEANUT PATTIES 
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
Few drops of red food coloring
2 c. raw peanuts
1 c. powdered sugar

Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a saucepan and cook until mixture begins to form a soft ball stage (about 5 minutes). Add peanuts and cook until it reaches a definite softball stage. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar; stir well. Quickly pour mixture into buttered muffin tins. When cool, remove from tins. Makes 26 to 30 patties.
