APPLE SAUSAGE PANCAKE | |
1 pkg. (8 oz.) breakfast sausage links 1 c. milk 2/3 c. of all-purpose flour 2 lg. eggs 1/4 c. crushed bran cereal (nuggets, flakes, or squares) 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 to 1 1/4 c. sliced apples 1. Cook sausage in medium skillet over medium heat, turning occasionally, until about 7 minutes, drain on paper. 2. Measure 1 tablespoon sausage drippings; place in medium bowl. Add milk, flour, eggs, cereal, sugar and salt. Beat until smooth. 3. Place oil in 10-inch skillet with oven-proof handle; or in 9 inch square baking pan. Tilt skillet to coat bottom evenly. Pour batter into skillet. Arrange sausage and apples on batter, spoke fashion. 4. Bake in preheated 425 degree oven until pancakes are puffed and golden brown, about 40 minutes. Serve at once. |
