APPLE SAUSAGE 
1 1/2 lbs. sausage
3/4 c. brown sugar
8 apples

Fry sausage about half done and drain off the fat. Put part of the sausage in the bottom of a casserole and cover with sliced apples. Sprinkle 1/4 cup brown sugar over this, add another layer of sausage and cover with remaining apples and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Bake about 1 hour in 350 degree oven. Layers of sliced, cooked sweet potatoes may be added to this recipe.
