1 c. water
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
6 to 7 drops food color
1 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
1 tbsp. powdered alum

Bring water to a boil. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Add oil and food coloring to boiling water. Slowly mix dry ingredients and water mixture together. Carefully knead dough until mixed with additional flour if needed to desired consistency. Let cool and store in closed container or plastic bag.
