MEXICAN COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter or shortening
3 heaping tbsp. sugar
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. nuts, ground
1 tsp. vanilla

Grind nuts. Mix all ingredients. Make into small balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while hot and again after they have cooled. NOTE: Food coloring can be added for holiday cookies.
