LIME JELLO SALAD 
Prepare 2 packages of lime Jello as directed on package. Use a large bowl. Chill until almost thick. Whip together 1/2 pint of whipping cream and 2 packages of softened Philadelphia cream cheese. Beat until thick. Mix with Jello and beat well. Add 1 1/2 cups of crushed pineapple, 3/4 cup celery (cut fine) and 1 cup nut meats. Chill. This salad should be made the day before it is to be used.

My great grandmother used to make this, but instead of using whipping cream, she used evaporated milk. You put a can of evaporated milk in a glass bowl with the beaters and stick it in the freezer until the milk starts to crystalize as it freezes. Take it out and whip as you would whipping cream, then fold it into the jello cream cheese mixture. We omit the celery bacause we don't like it, and now since a member of the family has a tree nut allergy, we have to leave out the nuts..
