BEEF STIR FRY | |
1 1/2 lb. stir-fry beef strips 3 tbsp. oil 1 lg. pepper 2 sm. onions 2 carrot sticks 2 celery stalks 1 sm. can water chestnuts 1/2 c. peanut halves (any type) 2 tbsp. teriyaki sauce 1 tsp. soy sauce 1 tsp. mustard (any type) 1 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 tsp. brown sugar Cut beef strips into bite-size pieces. Peel and chop all vegetables. In large skillet heat oil. Add beef and cook until brown. Remove beef from skillet and set aside. Add all chopped vegetables to skillet. Add more oil if needed. Cook until vegetables start to get tender, do not overcook vegetables should be crisp. When ready add beef back to skillet and lower heat. In mixing cup combine teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, mustard, cornstarch and brown sugar; mix well. Add mixture to skillet. Add peanuts and mix well. Simmer to sauce starts to thicken. Remove from heat. Serve over or with cooked rice. |
