CHEESY PRETZELS 
1 1/2 c. flour
2/3 c. milk
1/2 c. cheddar cheese
2 tbsp. butter
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
Coarse salt

1. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease cookie sheet.

2. Cover bread board with cloth and rolling pin. Sprinkle with flour.

3. Mix flour, milk, cheese, butter, baking powder, sugar, salt.

4. Make dough into a ball, knead 10 times, cut in half.

5. Roll half of dough in 9 rectangle, 12 x 8 inches, then mark, cut into 8 inch strips. Fold each strip lengthwise in half to make it narrower, pinch edges together tightly to seal each strip to make a pretzel shape. Then put seam side down on sheet. Then brush with beaten egg, then sprinkle with salt. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, lift with pancake turner.
