MEXICAN ORANGE CANDY 
1 c. browned sugar
2 c. plain sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 c. boiling water
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Grated rind of 1 orange
Chopped nuts

Sprinkle 1 cup sugar in heavy skillet and brown. Mix 2 cups sugar, 1 cup milk and bring to boil. Boil 1/2 cup water and pour into browned sugar. Pour this mixture into sugar and milk; continue cooking to soft ball stage (238 degrees).

Remove from heat, cool slightly. Add vanilla. Beat until thickened. Add orange rind and nuts; pour into buttered pan.
