CANDIED ALMOND ORANGE SALAD 
1 can sliced almonds
1/3 c. sugar
Endive, romaine, 1/2 head lettuce or fresh spinach
1 orange, peeled & sliced (mandarin oranges may be used)
1 sweet onion, sliced
1 c. chopped celery

Pour almonds in fry pan, cover with sugar. Stir until almonds are coated with melted sugar. Mix together greens, onion and orange. Just before serving, add almonds and dressing.

DRESSING:

2 tbsp. wine vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. salad oil
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste

Combine and set aside until needed.
