OLD FASHIONED POTATO SOUP | |
8 cubed potatoes 1 quart milk 1 tbsp. butter 1 well beaten egg 1/2 cup flour 1/4 cup milk Salt and pepper Boil potatoes until soft. Drain off all the water. Add 1 quart milk and heat thoroughly. Season to taste. Work the butter into the flour and then add the egg and 1/4 cup milk, using only enough milk to make a mixture thin enough to drop into the hot milk. Cover the saucepan and simmer about 10 minutes. |
