APPLE BUTTERMILK PANCAKE 
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
2 well beaten eggs
2 c. buttermilk
2 tbsp. shortening, melted
2 c. pared and finely chopped apples

Sift flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar. Combine eggs, buttermilk, and shortening. Add gradually to dry ingredients. Stir until smooth. Fold in apples (20 cakes).
