BAKED BRIE EN BRIOCHE | |
1 hot roll mix 1 egg 1 egg yolk mixed with 1 tbsp. water 2 tbsp. melted butter 2 (8 oz.) wheels brie Dissolve yeast from mix in 3/4 cup warm water. Stir in mix, butter and egg. Knead on floured board until no longer sticky. Form into ball and transfer to greased bowl. Turn so all sides are coated. Cover with towel. Rest until doubled (about 45 minutes). Divide and roll out 2 (8") circles. Place a wheel of brie in the center of each dough circle. Brush top and sides of cheese with egg yolk and water mixture. Bring dough up around cheese and meet in center so cheese is completely surrounded by dough. Turn over and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool 1/2 hour. Serve warm. |
