1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 egg whites
2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Beat egg whites to a peak. Sift flour 3 times, add sugar, baking powder and salt. Heat milk to near boiling point, add dry ingredients to heated milk. Fold in egg whites gently. Put in 8 inch ungreased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost if desired with powdered sugar icing. This makes a small cake but very good!
