APRICOT-ORANGE-CREAM CHEESE
SPREAD
 
1 (6 oz.) pkg. apricots
1 c. orange juice
1 whole orange, sliced and seeded
1 whole lemon, sliced and seeded
1 c. water
1/2 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

Combine fruits and liquids in a heavy saucepan of stainless steel or glass. Simmer until the apricots to rehydrated and cooked and fresh fruits are cooked. Add sugar and simmer only until dissolved, stirring constantly. No free liquid should remain. Cool thoroughly. Add cream cheese, diced into small cubes. Stir to mix, but do not blend. Delicious served with muffins and breakfast breads.
