HUNGARIAN GOULASH 
4 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
2 lbs. chuck or round steak, cubed
1 clove garlic
1 bag Goodmans Onion Soup mix
2 c. water

Melt shortening in heavy saucepan or casserole. Combine paprika, flour and pepper. Roll meat cubes in seasoned flour and brown lightly in shortening. Stir remaining flour into shortening in pan. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer over low heat about 3 hours, or until tender. Serve with noodles.

Serves 4-6.
